BSP celebrates 65th birthday of Mayawati

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 15: The J&K unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today celebrated the 65th birthday of National President and former UP Chief Minister, Kumari Mayawati.
In this connection, a function was held under the supervision of Somraj Majotra, J&K BSP President at Party Headquarters Jammu in which Member Parliament Rajaram was the Chief Guest.
Rajaram, in his address, explained the path of movement in detail. He said Kumari Mayawati is leaving no stone unturned to achieve the ultimate goal of capturing the political power at the Centre. Dr Ambedkar had once said political power is the only key with which you can open any lock.
“The Government in the Centre led by BJP has no intention to help the deprived part of the society. They are just making foolish the masses for the sake of vote bank”, he added.
Party’s J&K President, Somraj Majotra said that the day is most significant for the Indian masses as their movement is in the strong hands of Mayawati, who took the reins from Kanshi Ram. He also criticized the BJP led government at the Center for depriving the people of their rights.
Majotra said that Mayawati had told the party workers not to celebrate her birthday with huge gatherings. “As she has asked the party workers to observe January 15 as a day of austerity and distribute clothes and blankets among the poor, so we did the same today,” he added.
Among others who were present included Shashi Thappa and Pritam Chand General Secretaries; Tulsi Dass Langeh, RL Chargotra, Kuldeep Chalotra, Raman District President Kathua, Pradeep District President Samba, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Rajkumar Chalotra, Pawan Gupta, Abdul Gani Aftab and S Soni.
