Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 15: Kisan Morcha State President of Jammu and Kashmir Omi Khajuria discussed the decision of the Supreme Court with Bharat Bhushan in direct communication with the farmers.
Khajuria told the farmers that the BJP welcomes the Supreme Court's decision on agricultural reform laws. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Center is seriously committed to the welfare and well being of the farmers. No one else has done as much work for the welfare of farmers as the Modi Government has done in the last six years.
Also, the government is committed to safeguarding the democratic rights of every citizen of the country. He accepts the decision of the Supreme Court. The country is seeing that our intention was clear earlier and in the coming days we will continue to work for the welfare of farmers with this attitude. We hope that agitating farmers' organizations will also accept this decision of the Supreme Court. Khajuria said that the government had been saying from day one that the issue could be resolved only through talks. The government wanted the farmers organization to discuss point-by-point and propose it wherever necessary, and we are ready to implement it.
The government appealed to the farmers' organizations and said that you should continue your movement in other alternative places except highway. The government had also provided alternative places for farmers' organizations to protest. The Home Minister himself spoke to farmer organizations. The Supreme Court has said the same to the agitating farmers' organizations. The government held 9 rounds of talks with farmer organizations. In every dialogue, the government gave a direct message that the government was ready to discuss every point. On many issues, the government accepted the farmers 'organizations but the farmers' organizations remained adamant on repealing the law. The government's dialogue with farmer organizations was consistently positive.
Farmers' organizations expressed happiness over the steps of self-government. But the opposition and some organizations misled the peasant organizations as part of their agenda, so that one or two points could not be agreed. In a democracy, everyone has the right to picket, protest and disagree, but there should not be a situation of violence, stone pelting and anarchy. The government has expressed apprehension many times and warned farmers' organizations that anti-social elements have been involved. Many such incidents also occurred. The concern expressed by the Central Government about the law and order, today the Supreme Court has also expressed concern.
