GDC Sidhra organises extension Extension lecture

JAMMU, Jan 16: Career Counseling Cell, Govt. Degree College Sidhra organized an extension lecture through online mode on the topic " Modern Career Avenues: Building Minds for Future" under the Manodarpan initiative of Higher Education Department, as a part of Atma Nirbhar10 Abhiyan, MHRD, Govt. of India today
The resource person on this occasion was Dr. Neelika Arora, Assistant Professor, Department of HRM &OB Central University of Jammu. She deliberated at length on the different career options for the youth including growing industry of actuarial science, journalism, mass communication and health & wellness besides the trending career fields such as civil services, MBA, chartered accountant and company secretary.
She motivated the students to follow the practice of entrepreneurship not only be the boss of their life but an inspiration for others in society. Dr. Monika Sharma Principal of the college thanked the resource person and emphasized that through the adoption of modern farming practices students can build a dream life for them.
The most important thing is to follow their heart. Earlier programme started with the welcome address of coordinator career counselling cell Dr. Punam Rani Asstt. Professor History and concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Dr. Mussarat Chowdhary Asstt. Professor Economics.
