Police produce charge sheet against 11 LeT operatives

JAMMU, Jan 16: Jammu Police produced chargesheet against 11 operatives of banned terror outfit LeT today in the court of 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu.
According to Police spokesperson, a chargesheet was produced before the court of 3rd additional sessions Judge Jammu against the accused persons Mubashir Farooq Batt resident of Sazan Doda, Toqeer Ahmad Batt resident of Sazan Doda, Mohammad Asif Batt resident of Sazan Doda, Khalid Latief Batt resident of Kotal Doda, Gazi Iqbal Batt resident of Kotal Doda, Tariq Hussain Mir resident of Tanta Doda, Farooq Ahmad Malik resident of Doda, Farooq Ahmad Batt resident of Kathawa Doda (real brother of Pak handler Haroon), Junaid Aziz Lone resident of Handwara, Mohammad Hashim Malik resident of Pattan, Baramulla and Mohabbat Hussain resident of Chiralla Doda who were operating under banned terror outfit LeT. "The terror module was being operated on the directions of a Pak based LeT handler/terrorist Mohd Amin @Haroon who was an active terrorist of banned terror outfit LeT operating in Doda belt and had been exfiltrated to Pakistan since 2009", the spokesperson said, adding that a case was registered under case FIR No. 42/2020 of P/S Peer Mitha u/s 17, 18, 20,21,38,40 of ULA (P) Act and 7/25 Arms Act.
"The case was investigated by a SIT headed by Dy.SP Parupkar Singh. During investigation, apart from recovering terror funding money Rs 1,90,700 and arms and ammunition, 11 accused have also been arrested", the spokesperson said.
