People face hardships due to dilapidated condition of Gahan road

JAMMU, Jan 17: Despite spending crores of rupees by the Department of Roads and Buildings, the people of village Gahan in Sarthal area of Kishtwar District area are facing a lot of problems due to poor condition of the road which is under construction since last over a decade.
As per the details available with Early Times, Chandali-Gahan-Kaakoli is a remotest area of Kishtwar district which is a few kilometres away from Sarthal area.
The condition of the road connecting the village with its district headquarters is in a worse and dilapidated condition.
A few other areas falling on the both sides of this area include Kokaili, Parna and Gahan are facing a lot of inconvenience due to this road as a result of which the people of this area are suffering most.
The locals told the Early Times, that there seems to be no developmental endeavour by local as well as district administration in this area.
The locals while narrating their grievances and hardships said that the administration is solely responsible for their hardships.
One person Omkar said that officials have not been here for months.
He also said there was a delay in transfer of money in the accounts of the needy and poor under MGNREGA.
The public of this area have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to calibrate the administrative condition of this area besides also appealed that their problems should be addressed duly so that they can carry on with their lives smoothly.
