Early Times Report

Udhampur, Jan 17: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA ), district Udhampur was held under the leadership of its president Bhupinder Singh and district president Udhampur, Sudesh Kumar.
Large number of teachers from all eleven zones of District Udhampur attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion UT president Bhupinder Singh raised the various genuine and burning issues of the teaching fraternity which include:
Demands include release of pending arrears of 7th Pay Commission of Gradell/lll Teachers from 2016. Inclusion of Gradell/lll Teachers and 3rd Teachers in newly drafted Transfer Policy as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 20 years. Inclusion of 5 Years ReT period for seniority benefits as same was given vide Govt. Order No.469 Dated 25.06.2014. Removal of Pay Anomaly of teachers as teachers of J&K UT are placed in the pay grade of 2800 whereas teachers of other UTs are placed between grade pay of 4200 to 5000 .
Regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time. Appointment of ZEOs in headless zones across the JK UT so that teachers may not suffer more. Conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III as some cases are withheld due to adverse CID reports on minor changes and thus they are suffering badly due to non release of their salaries. DPC of teachers to masters .
Prominent among the meeting includes UT Coordinator Sunil Salaria, UT Legal advisor Varinder Sharma, UT Finance Secretary Sanjeev Guleria, Provincial Chief Coordinator Charan Dass, Provincial Secretrary Nasib Chand , Sanjay Sharma, Satpaul Singh, Surinder Khajuria, Randip Singh, Kewal Singh, Ravikant Sharma, Narinder Singh, Kuldeep Chand , Tika Ram, Jagdish Kumar, Jeevan Kumar, Sachin Sharma, Darshan Singh, Sudershan Kumar, Ishar Dass, Sunil Singh, Rajeev Kumar, Vikas Sharma, Pawan Kumar and others.
