BJP committed to safe, dignified return of KPs to Valley: Kavinder
1/18/2021 11:12:55 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 18: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta made an assertion that his party is committed to safe and dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir Valley.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the BJP senior functionary said that 31 years back on this day the KPs were forced to leave their homes and hearths due to prejudice of the then government and the community had to live like refugees in its very own country with both Centre and the erstwhile State dispensations of that time remaining dormant as if onus of all this was not theirs. He made it clear that BJP is quite serious on the issue of Kashmiri Pandits and like repeal of Article 370 as was promised in the party’s manifesto soon the promise made by BJP leadership regarding dignified return of KPs shall also be fulfilled and the sacred land created by Maharishi Kashyap will once again regain its lost glory and sheen.
Coming down heavily on the successive governments in J&K, he maintained that had those rulers played their roles well the incumbent dispensation need not to have struggled so hard to bring things back on tracks. He categorically blamed Congress, NC and PDP for the mess and chaos that prevailed in the Valley. He said that the turbulent times which the people of Kashmir especially KPs had seen is due to irresponsible handling of the situation by the dispensations led by aforesaid political entities which never took pain to see things beyond their personal gains thus bringing in darkest era of terror and tumult for the commoners. Kavinder assured the displaced community that BJP is after this mission and soon the return of KPs to Valley will see the light of the day. He made it clear that the aspirations of lakhs of KPs will be satiated by BJP, of course by taking into confidence the victim community and the Valley will blossom once again with pluralistic ethos reining in and vibes of hatred vanishing forever.
