KISHTWAR, Jan 19: The arrangements for Republic Day celebrations were today finalised here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma. The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; DSWO Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Dy SP HQ, Davinder Singh; Chief Medical Officer, Dr R S Manhas; Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Farath Bashir; Chief Horticulture Officer, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; Xen PDD Narutam Kumar; representative of Fire and Emergency Services, other concerned District and Sectoral officers besides the officers from paramilitary forces. The meeting decided that the venue for the celebration will be at DC office Complex Mini secretariat.
Other arrangements, regarding the unfurling of tricolour, March past by contingents, Shahnaivadan, seating plan, drinking water facility, refreshment, illumination of town, , Cultural program and other key activities were also reviewed during the meeting and necessary directions were passed to the concerned quarters. It was also informed in the meeting that the full dress rehearsal shall be conducted on 24th January 2021 at the venue of the function and all district and Sectoral officers were asked to remain present. |
