| JMC seals unauthorized constructions | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 19: The Enforcement Staff of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) led by the Chief Enforcement Officer further continued the drive against unauthorized constructions vigorously and acting tough against the violations in different areas falling under the jurisdiction of JMC.
The team sealed the premises of Prinkle Mahajan S/o Pawan Kumar at Bye Pass Road, Deeli, Jammu for erecting construction against the approved building plan.
It also sealed the premises of Nikhal Mittal S/o Parveen Mittal at Marble Market, Jammu for erecting the unauthorized construction without the permission of the JMC.
The sealing of the unauthorized constructions have been taken under the provisions of Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988. The drive was conducted on the instructions of Avny Lavasa, Commissioner JMC and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (Adm), JMC. The Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to the general public to refrain from making violations and unauthorized constructions else action as admissible under rule leading to demolition / sealing will be taken.
