1/19/2021 10:57:17 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 19: The security forces Tuesday launched a search operation in the Thandi Kassi area near Line of Control (LoC) after reports of some suspicious movement in the area.
An official told the early Times that searches were launched this morning and were going on when the reports last came in.
“The searches are conducted jointly by the Army and special operation group (SOG) of JKP. The security forces searched Gurdhana, Shaba and Thandi Kassi areas situated near the LoC, and these localities are close to Rajouri Town as well”, an officer said, adding that last year three OGWs were apprehended from these areas during searches.
He said that there were reports related to some suspicious movement after which searches were launched in these villages. “Ahead of republic day, the security forces have been keeping a strict vigil on each and every suspect along with the LoC and the Rajouri town to foil misdeeds of militants and the antisocial elements”, he added.
