Burning issues of health workers discussed

JAMMU, Jan 19: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan State president. During meeting, burning issues were discussed such as DPC of all categories of Health employees supposed to be done twice in a year but not done even after the lapse of three to four years.
The DPC should be clear at par with Govt Medical college / Drug and food Control organization on the pattern of executive order passed by the administrative department till the SRO-20 (Recruitment rules)is modified, said Sushil Sudan.
The federation also demanded release of exgratia to deceased employees during Covid -19 pandemic.
After meeting a deputation of JKMEFmet Director Health Services Dr. Renu Sharma. In the meeting, various burning issues of the employees of the health department of Jammu province were discussed with the her and special emphasis was given to hold departmental promotion committee of the various categories of the employees and excreta and other emoluments to the deceased employees of health during Covid-19 duty and also release immediate salary of Female Multipurpose Health worker which is due for last 4 months.
Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma listened to their demands patiently and in principle agreed and assured to solve issues on priority.
It was decided in the meeting the department should fix date of DPC before 01-02-2021 otherwise peaceful dharna /protest will be start from 02-02-2021 at Distt/Block Head quarters of Jammu Province.
State President was accompanied by Jarnail Singh, Kamal Jit Sawhney, Neelam Kumari, Pawan Jamwal, S. Dharminder Singh, Ved Pal Saini, Pawan Kumar, Suresh Gupta, Mahesh Sharma, S. Mela Singh, Mukhtyar Kohli.
