Bharat Scouts and Guides organize road safety month

UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: Bharat scouts and guides Udhampur organized 32nd Road safety month awareness campaign to aware the public about latest traffic rules and its guidelines issued by Govt of India and appealed the general public to follow the traffic rules for their safety as well as for the safety of pedestrians .
Awareness campaign was organized by scout master Rakesh Singh, Vivek Gupta, Ajay Kumar, Jagdev Singh and Sohan lal.
Rakesh Singh while interacting with the media said that about 1 lakh peoples lost their lives every year due to accident and it create economic as well as Human resource loss to country and trauma to families. Scout master Vivek Gupta said that it is not the sole responsibility of traffic police to implement the traffic rules but it is the fundamental duty of every good citizen to follow traffic rules to avoid serious road accidents.
Scout master Ajay Kumar urged the public to cooperate with the district administration Udhampur to celebrate the Road safety Month campaign from 18 January to 17 February. Scout masters distributed pamphlets among public and drivers and also pasted the pamphlets at prominent places for awareness of General public.
Singh assured district administration Udhampur to cooperate in implementing the road safety week in District Udhampur in letter and spirit by further organizing such awareness campaign.
Scout masters also urged the Director School Education Jammu to issue necessary guidelines to govt schools for organising various online activities on Road safety month.
