AAP demands development of slum areas

JAMMU, Jan 20: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu sought the slum areas where the SC, ST, OBC and minority communities are living in abundance should be look after and develop on priority basis.
In a meeting of AAP held here today, the party leaders also expressed its concern over the condition of roads, kacha houses and people affected by intermittent firing along the border areas of J&K. They appealed to the Central Government and state administration to immediately mitigate the sufferings of these affected people.
The AAP leaders urged to the Central Government and Governor of JK(UT) to implement in practical the central policies for SC, ST, OBCs and minority communities in government jobs, education and other sectors.
AAP leaders said that the central sponsored schemes for SC, ST, OBCs and minority communities should not be mere sloganeering but it should be visible on ground level.
Prominent among AAP leaders who were present in the meeting included Gurmeet Singh, Mehar Singh, Sewak Singh, Raj Kumar Nischal, Mahesh Sudan, Balvinder Singh, Ravi Shastri, Rajesh Bali, Sher Singh, NP Singh, Amrik Singh, R S Sudan, Naresh Kesar, Prithpal Singh, Altaf Shah , Charanjeet Singh, Jankar Singh and Jarnail Singh.
