| Employees skipping Republic Day functions will face action | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
jammu, Jan 20: The Government has directed all its employees to attend Republic Day functions in their respective areas to maintain sanctity of the national festival. It is also warned that any negligence will be treated as disobedience of the instructions.
Government has issued a circular No.02-JK-(GAD) of 2021, dated 19.01.2021 in which instructions have been given to all government employees including those working in the public sectors.
"The main function of the Republic Day-2021 is being held at the Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu, where the Lieutenant Governor will preside over the function and take the salute. All Officers/Officials of the Government and Public Sector Undertakings, Stationed at Jammu, are called upon to attend the function as a part of their official duty,"
"All Heads of Departments and Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings shall ensure their own participation and also of the employees subordinate to them in the function", the circular reads as.
It is also warned that disobeying the orders to attend the said function will be termed as the negligence in the line of duty and disobedience of the government instructions. |
