Jammu, Jan 21: R M Public School celebrated Gurupurab in the school's premises with exuberance and fanfare . The whole school was embellished with colourful buntings and balloons. Chairman Rameshwar Mengi,principal Ravinder Kaur,incharges,coordinators, staff members and guests from Shiksha Niketan Gandhinagar (Mehak Kohli, Ajit Singh) and Shiksha Niketan Jeevan Nagar (Roopsi Sharma, Sudershan Singh), Pushpa Vatika (Gagandeep Kaur, Neetu Koul) were the part of the festival. Japji Sahib Path, Shabad and kirtan was recited by the staff members of the school. Langar was also served in the afternoon to celebrate life and prophecy of Guru Gobind Jayanti.
Guru Gobind Singh, born Gobind Rai, was the 10th Sikh Guru, a spiritual master, poet,and philosopher. He was installed as the leader of the sikhs at the age of nine, becoming the tenth and final human Sikh guru. |
