Anantnag, Jan 21: The Anti Narcotic Task Force along with Anantnag Police arrested a notorious drug dealer on Thursday and recovered high grade Heroin and Poppy extract ( Afeem) from his possession.
According to reports, the Anti Narcotic Task Force received a specific input regarding some drug deal being struck in the Harnag area of Anantnag. On receiving this tip-off, ANTF team swung into action and raided a specific location along with Anantnag Police and arrested a drug dealer who was later identified as Abdul Hameed Alai S/O Late Gh Rasool Alai R/O Harnag, Anantnag. ANTF in a statement said that they recovered a huge quantity of drugs from his possession. “A Total 650 gms of Heroin and approx 1430 gms of Opium Extract (Afeem) has been recovered from the possession of this notorious drug dealer,” they said. ANTF said that they have registered a case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act against the drug dealer. “Further investigation is going on and more arrests of this drug racket are expected,” they said. |
