Republic Day arrangements finalized in Doda

DODA, Jan 21: The arrangements for smooth celebration of Republic Day-2021 were today finalized here at a meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Surat Singh.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Kishori Lal Sharma; General Manager, District Industries Centre, Chief Planning Officer, ACD, ASP, ACR, EXENs of R & B, PDD, DIO, DYSSO, and other concerned officers.
ADC took stock of arrangements including security, sanitation & cleanliness, seating arrangements, power & water supply, illumination and decoration of the main venue, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, dias management and PA system installation, prize distribution, preparedness regarding Tableaus etc.
The concerned officers were directed to do their job meticulously for a smooth Republic Day celebration.
The ADC informed that the venue for the Republic day celebrations is Sports Stadium, but in case of inclement weather conditions the alternative place would be separately communicated to all the concerned.
The ADC informed that full dress rehearsal shall be conducted on 24th January, while the screening of the cultural items shall be organised at Boys Hr Sec School on January 22.
The ADC also directed the concerned cultural committee to add more cultural items and include all the Government and Private institutions to display their cultural items on the eve of National day celebrations.
It was also informed that colourful cultural programmes based on nationalism, folk & culture etc shall be presented on the occasion.
The DYSSO informed the ADC that Parade rehearsals are on at Sports Stadium and about 20 parade contingents including band troops of Police and Schools will be participating.
