| Citizen forum criticises Govt over visit of PSC delegation | | |

JAMMU, Jan 21: Citizen’s forum President R K Chadha has criticised the central government for sending 18 member PSC delegation on study tour for promotion of Tourism in Kashmir only and not for Jammu.
He said that for the last 30 years all kinds of parliamentary and other delegations, political and social have been making tour programs to enjoy the hospitality of the kashmir valley without any tangible result. This time they have come to enjoy and promote tourism in Kashmir only and not Jammu.
"We fail to understand when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been promising to develop Jammu tourism which has been neglected by all the previous governments , the delegation is not uttering a word for Jammu tourism", Chadha said.
He said that Kashmir is fully equiped with Tourism Infrastructure and in good times never attracted more than 8 lakh tourist and Jammu because of Vaishno Devi the number remained more than one crore per anum always.
Forum has said that they should know the tourist will only come to a peaceful station and not because of a survey by beautiful people to see the management. Jammu is peaceful and still tourist in abundance coming here. Think and prepare plans for Jammu Tourism Infrastructure also. |
