UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Udhampur/Reasi Range, Sujit Kumar today chaired a security review meeting ahead of Republic, here at Range police headquarters.
At the outset of the meeting, the security challenges in view of upcoming Republic Day 2021 were discussed in detail.
The security agencies were asked to coordinate with each other and take all measures to keep check on suspicious movement and peaceful conduct of the national event.
The major issues discussed were security of venues of Republic Day functions, intensifying the naka checking during night-hours, highway security, security of DDC members, area domination, check on Narco-terrorism, social media groups, traffic management and intelligence inputs.
The meeting was attended by SSP Udhampur, Sargun Shukla, SSP Reasi, Rashmi Wazir, Comdts of CRPF 06 ,137 and 187 bns and 2iC of 126 Bn, lt Col (ops) sub area Udhmpur, Adl SP Udhmpur, Katra, Reasi ,Staff Officer RPHQ, Dy. SP, CID Udhampur, Dy SP Traffic Udhampur and other senior officers of IB and CID.
The DIG briefed the Officers regarding their responsibility areas and prime concerns to be followed as well as implementation of covid safety protocol. |
