Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 22: Rehbar-e-Khel Physical Teachers led by Dheeraj Salaria, overall In-charge Jammu division today staged protest demonstration outside BJP office here today under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Khel Teacher Forum, demanding two years probation period at par with other Union Territories of the country.
More than hundreds of teachers assembled outside the office and chanted slogans in favour of their demands including ‘Equal work, equal pay’.
Dheeraj Salaria while talking with media said that we have knocked doors of every administrator for their genuine demands but nobody seems bothered about them. He told that our children were on the verge of starvation and we were not even able to arrange bread and butter for them.
Chief spokesperson of the Forum, Firdous Hussain said that they requested Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary for the resolve of their genuine demands, so that they would not suffer more. “We have even approached LG Office time and again for appointment but every time our voice is ignored due to unknown reasons,” he added.
They requested the Lt Governor and BJP J&K President and PMO, Dr Jatinder Singh to consider their genuine demands as soon as possible and fulfil their promises, made with us time to time for regularisation of the services.
