| Intra college eco-friendly competition held | | |

Nagrota, Jan 22: The Department of Environmental Studies of Government Degree College Nagrota in collaboration with IQAC cell of the college conducted an intra college eco friendly competitive event “Be creative, reinvent & refurbish old stuff” to promote sustainability and infuse innovation into the minds of the students under the guidance of HOD EVS Prof. Shivali Mehra.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal, GDC, Nagrota. While speaking words of encouragement on the occasion, he emphasized on the crucial times of managing bio-resources and to have an eco-friendly perspective to achieve the goals of sustainable development, with innovation.
The project/models made by the student participants were displayed. The competition was judged by the eminent judges viz; Prof. Anjali Mahajan (HOD English) and Prof. Talat Khan (HOD Computer Applications) and the first three winners were given the prizes and certificates.
Sourav Bhat and Harish Kumar Sharma got the first prize, Mehak Singh got the 2nd prize , Jasmeet Singh got the 3rd prize and Anjali Kumari got the consolation prize. All the participants were given the participation certificates. All the faculty members attended the event and it culminated with light refreshment.
