Jammu, Jan 23: E-Counseling Programme was organized by GDC Marh, in collaboration with District Employment and Counseling Centre (DECC) Jammu and Career Counselling and Placement Cell, Higher Education Department of J&K for the students of the college under the Patronage of Prof Aekta Gupta (Principal GDC, Marh).
Principal in her address emphasized that focus of career counseling is to help students to understand new work trends to chose a field that is intune with their skills and make right career choice. The resource person of the programme were Dushyant Singh (Career Counselling Officer, DECC Jammu) and Mehul Singh (block coordinator, Azim Premji Foundation, Bhimtal Nanital). Mehul Singh explained the social work as a career and. Dushyant Singh gave detailed information about the role of DECC and process of registration on the portal. Around hundred students and all staff members participated in the webinar which was held on Google Meet. Welcome speech was given by coordinator of the programme Asstt. Prof Satish Kumar and vote of thanks was presented by Asstt Prof Ram Dayal. The programme was conducted by Monadarpan team of the college which include Asstt Prof Satish Kumar, Asstt Prof Asha Kumari and Dr Saqib Bashir.
