Volleyball, Kabaddi matches held in Premier League

JAMMU, Jan 25: Pinto Club Jammu maintained its supremacy by defeating Borderline Pallanwalla in the first league round match in Volleyball of the Premier League UT J&K 2020-21 organized by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council in collaboration with concerned sports associations.
Pinto Club Jammu romped home with 3-1 sets with score of 17-25, 25-21, 25-23 & 25-18.
In another match of the day played between Jammu Spikers vs Trikuta Club Salehar, the Jammu Spikers beat Trikuta Club by 3-1 sets with the score of 23-25, 25-12, 25-10 & 25-16.
The last match of the day was played between Jammu Spikers and Allah Volleyball Club. The match was won by Jammu Spikers in straight sets with the score of 26-24, 25-19 & 25-21.
On this occasion, Special Secretary Forest, Amit Sharma was the chief guest while Joint Controller LMD, Vinod Singh Sambyal was the guest of honour.
Amit Sharma also honoured young upcoming volleyball player Navjot Singh from rural area of Slehar, Arnia Jammu for his outstanding performance as young upcoming player in the first league round matches. Singh represents Trikuta Club Slehar.
In addition to this, Kabaddi matches were played at Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Sports Hall Jammu in the ongoing Premier League of UT J&K.
The first match of the day was played between M A Stadium vs Akhnoor Club and won by M A Stadium with the score of 47-38.
The second Kabaddi match was played between Baba Jitto Club vs Akhnoor Club and Baba Jitto Club emerged victorious with a margin of 17 points.
In the third match, Baba Jitto Club defeated Nagrota Warriors by the score of 25-15.
In the fourth match of the day, Shaheed DBP Sports Club defeated MA Stadium Jammu with a margin of 23 points with the score of 53-30.
And the last match of the day was played between Shaheed DBP and Kings Sports Club, wherein Shaheed DBP Club registered win by 28 points with the score of 59-31 and secured birth in second round Kabaddi Premier League matches.
