Construction work of deep drains along Gurudwara Sahib starts

Jammu, Jan 25: Vijay Choudhary, corporator ward no-42 and Manmohan Choudhary ex Mayor Jammu today started construction work of deep drains along the Gurdwara Sahib Guru Nanak Nagar sec-2 in the presence of a gathering. Hundreds of Sikh Sangat and other community members visit this gurdwara every day, from morning to evening.
With the efforts of Vijay Choudhary, this work started with a cost of Rs. 15 lakhs from UEED and JMC departments in the presence of Sd. Tarlochan Singh Wazir Chairman J&K Gurudwara Prabandhak Board, Sunil Thusu Joint Commissioner Works JMC, Ashwani Sharma XEN JMC, Ashok Sharma AEE JMC and Sd. Manjot Singh Junior Engineer.
Local residents as well as the representatives of Gurdwara sahib committees were raising the demand for this work for a long time. The locals complained every day about the pungent smell from the drain. Gurdwara sahib Langer is prepared for the sangat every day and the waste material and the quantity of the langar utensils to be washed is in huge, and the present drain is not sufficient for the waste remnants.
Now the deep drain is constructed with RCC wall. After the completion of these particular drains, the local people and daily visiting Sangat of Nanak Nagar will be relieved. The Gurdwara committee members and the locals present there thanked Vijay Choudhary for listening to their genuine demands and meeting them in her 2nd year of tenure as a corporator. They also appreciated the work done by Manmohan Choudhary during his tenure for this area.
