Reasi, Feb 10 A 5 day Refresher course was organised under the patronage of Dr Saleem - ur- Rehman and under the supervision of Subash Chander Sharma DYSSO Reasi. In the course 54 REK teachers drawn from different school of the district participated.the chief guest on the occasion Mustaq Ahmed Chief Education Officer Reasi highlighted the importance of sports and urged the Physical Education teachers to work with full zeal and dedication in their respective schools and involve students in extracurricular activities for their overall development.
He also appreciated District Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) department for conducting refresher courses for the REK teachers and said these type of courses help in building capacity of the human resource.
At the outset, DYSSO Reasi welcomed the chief guest and briefed him about the activities under taken taken by the department during the refresher course
The colorful programmes including Yoga Demo, Drills and Mass PT exercise were displayed.
Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Yoga, Football & Athletics were the main event focused during the refresher camp and conducted by the experts in different disciplines namely Ajay Kumar Billa (volleyball), Ashok Kumar & Devinder Kour (volleyball), Romesh Chander, Ashok Kumari & Rajesh Bandral from Jammu (Yoga), Rahul Bakshi (Football), Opinder Pal Singh, Mohd.Raiz & Arun Dev(atletics), , under the supervision of Romesh Chander Mishra PTI DIET Reasi. And Asha Devi I/c ZPEO was the Convener of the refresher course. Bholi Devi, Dinesh Singh, Narinder Kour, Jaswant Singh, Rani Devi was also the member of Organizing committee.
