Three of family dead as vehicle falls into gorge in Chatroo

JAMMU, Feb 21: Days after a tragic road accident at Ragi Nallah in which five family members died, three members of a family were killed in yet another mishap on Sunday after their car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Chatroo in Kishtwar district.
An Alto car bearing registration number JK06-8421 met with an accident near Gujjar Hostel Chatroo while on its way towards Chingam Chatroo.
As per the eyewitnesses, the driver of the ill-fated vehicle lost his control as a result of which the vehicle fell into 300-feet deep gorge resulting into the on spot death of all the three family members.
As soon as the accident took place, the locals joined by the police immediately rushed to the spot, but unfortunately before anything could be done, all the three family members were pronounced as dead.
The deceased were identified as Jashoda Devi wife of Sham Lal, Nittan Kumar son of Sham Lal and Kajal Devi daughter of Sham Lal, all residents of Chingam Chatroo.
Meanwhile, several political and social activists expressed their grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in the tragic accident.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma has expressed grief over the death of 03 members of a family, who lost their lives in a tragic road accident on Chatroo road Kishtwar.
In his condolence message, the DC expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the peace to the departed souls.
In their condolence messages, DDC Chairperson Pooja Bhandari, Vice-Chairperson Saima Shabir Lone, ex-Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, ex-Minister Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, DDC member Palmar Tahir Masood, DDC member Chatroo Rubina Begum, DDC member Kishtwar Zakir Butt, besides several other expressed grief and shock over this unfortunate incident and prayed for the peace to the departed souls and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
