| TAWI Trekkers launches membership drive | | |

JAMMU, Feb 22: As a part of its efforts to make Tawi Trekkers J&K the leading trekking organization in the country the club launched its membership drive today. About 60 adventure lovers including functionaries and activists of the club were enrolled afresh on the first day of the drive.
Giving details of the membership campaign the President of the club Ram Khajuria said that the club has offered three types of membership. One time fee for life membership is Rs.30000/-(minimum) while annual membership for earning and non- earning members is Rs.6000/-(minimum) and Rs.1200/-(minimum) respectively, to be renewed in September every year.
He further said that the club with a number of international sport climbers and distinguished mountaineers on its rolls, has a mass base in the Union Territory of J&K which is steadily increasing because of regular conduct of adventure activities. Now the club has planned to launch membership drive in many other states where there is a vast potential for adventure activities especially the western and southern parts of the country. A team shall soon be deputed to the potential states for enrolment of members, Khajuria added.
