Forest division Ramban conduct plantation drive at Khari

RAMBAN, Feb 22: Forest Department intensifies plantation drive across the district Ramban under JK Green Drive" to improve green cover on the earth.
Today at Panchyat Khari, Forest Division Ramban in collaboration with 23 RR conducted a massive plantation drive involving the PRIs, students and general masses.
BDC Chairman Khari, DDC Councillor Khari, DFO Ramban, Range Officer Banihal, BO Sarbagni and Army personals participated in the plantation drive.
Speaking on the occasion, the DFO Dr Rajan Singh said that the trees are the lifeline of all the living beings and plantation is the only way to stop climate change.
He said that it is the time to take necessary measures to protect our environment from degradation but not possible without the contribution of every single person. He also sought help from PRIs, NGOs and the general public to protect forests for their next generations as like their own wealth.
Speaking on the occasion BDC chairman and DDC councilor lauded the efforts of the Forest Department for putting in strenuous efforts for the success of the plantation drive.
