DDC Rajouri chairs Rogi Kalyan Samiti meet
Lays foundation 2 cr project at GMC&AH

RAJOURI, Feb 22: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Monday chaired Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting here at Government Medical College & Associate Hospital to review patient care and discuss augmentation of facilities in the premier health institution.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Sher Singh; SE PWD, Shahid Latief; Principal GMC, Dr.Kuldeep Singh; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; CMO, Dr.Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Dr. Yaqoob; ExEn Jal Shakti Department Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed and other members of the RKS
District Development Council Member, Rajouri Constituency, Sai Abdul Rashid was also present in the meeting. The meeting discussed various issues pertaining to augmentation of the Medicare facilities. Several decisions were taken for procurement and repair of hospital equipment including fire extinguishers, chairs and benches, wheel chairs, patient stretchers, sanitary items, rabies vaccine, some electrical items, physiotherapy equipment, post mortem items, dental care material and repair of some hospital gadgets.
The DDC asked the concerned officers of the Health Department to put in dedicated efforts to ensure that best possible Medicare services are provided to the people. He also stressed upon the RKS members to ensure judicious use of funds and quality of the items so that the facilities created shall last for a long time. He directed the Principal GMC to constitute a purchase committee for the procurement of all the essential health care items and submit report on a monthly basis.
The DDC also asked the concerned authorities to identify the tests which are currently not performed in the GMC&AH so that the required material can be procured to benefit the patients.
Later, the DDC also inspected different wards of the hospital and expressed his satisfaction over the sanitation being maintained by the Hospital Administration.
Meanwhile the District Development Commissioner also laid the foundation stone for remodeling of 18 washrooms to be executed by the Public Works Department at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore. He set July 2021 as the deadline for completion of the project.
