| Free health check-up camp held at Gandote | | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Feb 24: Department of Indian System of Medicine in collaboration with Civil Quick Rescue Team a vibrant NGO of the district today organized a free medical checkup camp at Beulla area of Panchyat Gandote in Block Ramban.
The programme was held under the National Ayush Mission dedicated to promote Indian system of medicine, yoga and wellness activities.
During the health camp doctors from ISM Department alongwith paramedical staff examined about 300 patients. Besides diagnosing patients were also provided free AYUSH medicines by the department.
Doctors also sensitized the visiting people about the importance of Yoga and wellness activities besides advising them to adopt a physically active lifestyle to avoid the majority of lifestyle diseases.
Speaking on the occasion, President CIVIL QRT, Bahir Magray said that the NGO is working for every needy person of the society; its main aim is to launch rescue operations in emergency especially during road accidents.
Meanwhile, QRT Members and doctors also sensitized the people about precautions to be taken to prevent from COVID-19 infection besides highlighting the importance of Covid vaccination. PRIs and visiting people lauded the efforts of ISM Department and QRT Ramban for organizing a medical camp in a remote area. |
