NSS unit of GDC Ramnagar organize Poshan Abhiyaan

Jammu, Feb 24: In connection to the “Mission Poshan 2.0” launched by Govt of India, one day “ Poshan Abhiyaan” was organized by NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar at GMS Thaplal (NSS adopted village) under the guidance of Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS PO. The programme started with the interactive session by Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS PO in which she told the students that healthy and nutritive food could be the medicine for the healthy living and motivated them to stay apart from the junk food.
Then four NSS volunteers namely Diksha, Kavita Sharma, Aarush and Vipul expressed their views on the topic “Sahi Poshan Desh Roshan”. After then four NSS volunteers namely Shruti Modi, Sukeerti, Shruti Mahajan and Nisha presented their posters and distinguished between the acceptable and unacceptable foods to the school students through their posters. The students of the school also performed various activities like debate on the topic “need of nutrition” by Sneha Sharma, Shivali Thakur, Gulshan Jamwal, Kashish Sharma and Manisha Sharma and dance performance by some students. Principal GDC Ramnagar, Dr Udhey Bhanu appreciated the initiative of the NSS Unit of the college for rendering service to the community and society by creating and sustaining culture of healthy living.
