2/24/2021 11:46:27 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

SRINAGAR, Feb 24: Chairman DDC from Rajouri met National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and congratulated him for party's win in the recently held District Development Council elections.
Farooq Abdullah congratulated Chairman DDC from Rajouri, Naseem Liaqat and called for strengthening secularism and brotherhood and bridging differences between Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the massive support despite numerous challenges is reflective of the deep faith of the people in the National Conference, which has met the challenges with courage and fortitude. Dr Abdullah said “All eyes are watching how the National Conference has emerged as a big political force in Jammu and Kashmir in its own right. The strength of the party emanates from the people at ground zero and there is a need to channelize this support for the betterment of the people, irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion,” he said. He exhorted the cadre across the Union Territory to remain steadfast in their resolve of serving people and strengthening bonds of inclusiveness.
Naseem Liaqat said the DDC election results have served as an eye opener for all those who had written off the National Conference in the mistaken belief of having representative character. He lambasted the BJP for unleashing a vicious campaign against the NC with malicious intent of creating doubts in the public mind.
The DDC Chairman assured the Party Leadership for continuing to serve the people at grass roots level and assured for resolving people’s issue at their doorsteps.
