Vishwakarma Prakat Diwas celebrated

Jammu, Feb 25: Yuva Shilpkar Union (YSU) organized a grand function today on the eve of Vishwakarma Prakat Diwas at Main Chowk Janipur under the chairmanship of Satish Kotwal ( President).
Raman Chalotra , Vice Chairman , Shree Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre (SVLARC), New Plot was guest of honour.
Satish Kotwal , told that Lord Vishwakarma is most relevant today and all should worship him . He reiterated the demand of a “Gazetted Holiday” on Vishwakarma Prakat Diwas. He congratulated Jammuites on the auspicious occasion and explained the significance of Vishwakarma Pooja in this age of Science and Technology. He said Lord Vishwakarma has created this wonderful Universe which is infinite and Scientists have succeeded to explore only a little bit of it.
Working class people from adjoining area gathered and performed Vishwakarma Pooja followed by distribution of sweets to the gathering. Chanting of “Jai Vishwakarma” and singing of Bhajans spread spiritual waves in the environment. Om Kataria distributed the pamphlets which carried the message to the working class that they should educate their children. Through the pamphlets, the (YDMM) appealed that working class should refrain from all type of drugs and alcoholism. Raman Chalotra , the Chief Guest, stated that Vishwakarma Prakat Diwas is being celebrated today throughout the country. He further added that the Day should be celebrated by all sections of society, especially those associated with industry and technical jobs. Others who graced the occasion include Balwant Kataria (Gen Secy, AIBCF) and Mahinder Paul.
