A top police official said that acting on specific inputs, Bandipora police along with 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 45 BN CRPF apprehended two militant associates of Lashkar-e Toiba (LeT) in a joint operation at Bonikhan Mohalla, of Hajin village.
The official said that they have been identified as Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Khan, and Riyaz Ahmad Bhat.
“During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that both the arrested militant associates were providing shelter, logistics and other material support to active militants of LeT in Sumbal and Hajin areas of district Bandipora”, the police official said.
He said that arms and ammunition including two live grenades and eight live rounds of AK-47 have been recovered from their possession.
