2/26/2021 11:10:11 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Feb 26: Slamming previous regimes for ignoring the development in the villages adjoining International Border at R S Pura, District Development Council (DDC) member, T S Tony today assured the border residents to address their grievances at the earliest.
The DDC member observed that the border dwellers are still facing hardships despite tall claims of the government that the several initiatives have been taken for the development of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The people are facing problems due to inadequate roads, poor health facilities and other civic issues,” Tony said during his visit in the far-flung area of R S Pura to take stock of problems being faced by the people and review the status of ongoing development projects in the area.
Tony was welcomed in village Khepar of Jassor Panchayat by Sarpanch Sushil, Biny Sharma, Garu Choudhary and other prominent people of the village.
The DDC member reviewed the ongoing development projects and asked the administration to expedite the pace of the project to complete them in a time frame.
The people apprised Tony that unscheduled power cuts and scarcity of water causes a lot of hardships.
The DDC member, while giving a patience hearing to problems raised by the people of the area, assured that the grievances will be addressed at the earliest. He asked the administration to intervene and take concrete measures to solve these issues at the earliest.
The DDC member asserted that he is committed for the development and will make all possible efforts for the upliftment of people of the border town.
