CLUJ celebrates foundation day

JAMMU, March 1: Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu celebrated Foundation Day in a virtual mode with a Roundtable on the topic “Heralding towards a Promising Future: Together We Succeed”.
Prof Bechan Lal , Vice Chancellor , Cluster University of Jammu presided over the ceremony. Prof Anju Bhasin Founding Vice Chancellor CLUJ and Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, former Vice Chancellor, CLUJ were the Guests of Honor. Prof. Poonam Dhawan, former Dean Academic Affairs, CLUJ and Dr. Satinder Singh, former Principal Lead College, GGM Science College, were the special invitees for the Roundtable. The function started with a motivational group song by students of Music Department, Govt MAM College. Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare formally welcomed the dignitaries and appreciated the immense contribution of all Principals and faculty in the preceding years.
The ceremony began with a Pictorial Documentary highlighting the various key moments and achievements of the University. Prof Anju Bhasin who joined the event from Cern(Switzerland) reminisced her CLUJ journey which commenced with a totally new concept of Clustering of already established Colleges as its Constituent Colleges with 5 PG Schools for navigating all the academic, cultural, sports and extra-curricular opportunities for our young learners under one umbrella indicating the ethos of a Cluster- coming together as equals- unitary in spirit yet federal in nature signifying the diversity and plurality of the university.
Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor , University of Jammu and former Vice Chancellor, CLUJ in his address exhorted that his short stint at Cluster University of Jammu is memorable and has emotionally connected him to all faculty.
Prof Bechan Lal , Vice Chancellor, CLUJ in his presidential address acknowledged the rich contribution of his predecessors in laying a strong foundation for a progressive and promising future of the university. He was of the firm opinion that hard work, dedication, team effort and commitment are the key for the university to reach glorious heights. He promised leaving no stone unturned in making CLUJ globally recognized by creating rich and ample opportunities and providing Research oriented education for the young learners. He also E-Inaugurated the CLUJ Alumni Society.
