Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 1: Apni Party senior leaders today visited the residence of Krishna Dhaba owner at Janipur Colony in Jammu to express their solidarity with the bereaved family members who have lost their son in a militant attack in Srinagar.
In a statement to the press, a delegation of senior Apni Party leaders comprising of Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Ex-Minister and senior leader Apni Party Dilawar Mir and Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh visited the residence of Krishna Dhaba owner at Janipur Colony whose son namely Akash Mehra was killed by militants at Srinagar.
The Apni Party leaders expressed their solidarity with the bereaved family members and appealed to the Govt to identify the perpetrator of violence so that such incidents could not happen in future.
The Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir said the killing of an innocent youth by the militants was an attempt to disturb the tourism which has gradually revived in Kashmir.
"It seems that the motive behind the incident was to revive economic activities in Srinagar. This incident was an act of hurting the communal brotherhood to promote enmity between the communities," Mir said.
He said that the Govt must be extra cautious towards the spread of hatred with such incidents and always ensure that these incidents do not happen in future.
He demanded that the Govt should provide relief to the victim family and provide them protection in Srinagar. "Kashmiri people are known for their hospitality all over the world. But such isolated incidents are an attempt to defame the people who are against such things. The Govt must ensure safety and security of all people working in Kashmir," Mir demanded.
