Tourism Deptt organizes road shows in Kolkata

JAMMU, Mar 1: With an aim to promote tourism of Jammu and Kashmir in the entire country, the J&K Tourism Department in collaboration with All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association organized road shows and cultural programmes displaying the culture of J&K, at Victoria Park and Jadavpur in which hundreds of local participants participated and enthralled.
The events were organized in the presence of Sukriti Sharma General Manager JKTDC, Ahsan-Ul-Haq officer in charge J&K Tourism Kolkata, Shahnawaz Shah Manager Marketing SKICC, Pawan Gupta president All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association and Raman Sharma president Travel Agent Association.
While addressing the gathering, Pawan Gupta elaborated the importance of tourism of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that J&K is the land of saints and sufis for ages and popular for spiritual sanctity. He said that holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is worldwide popular and identity of the J&K. He further said that the border tourism is also attraction of the tourism.
He invited the public to come and enjoy the tourism of the J&K and people will extend open arms welcome to the tourists.
Others who were the part of the tourism promotion team included Pritam Sharma, HS Manhas, Amit Khajuria, Ajit Singh and Pt RC Sharma.
