President Dharmarth Trust visits Shankaracharya, reviews arrangements for Mahashivratri

SRINAGAR, Mar 1: Continuing with its age old tradition of providing hassle-free facilities to devotees visiting Shankaracharya Temple on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, Ajay Gandotra, President of J&K Dharmarth Trust, finalized necessary arrangements for the devotees visiting the ancient Temple.
Accompanied by Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma, Secretary, the Trust President reviewed necessary arrangements in view of forthcoming Shivratri Festival. He also discussed security and other arrangements being made for the convenience of the public. He also issued necessary directions with regard to the repairs of the temples.
Giving a detailed account of the preparations made by the Dharmarth Trust, Gandotra said that all the necessary facilities including potable water supply, round the clock electricity, public conveniences, medical aid, etc. shall be made available to the visiting devotees on the festival day.
President also met employees of the Trust and praised them for performing their duties with full dedication despite hostile weather conditions. He also directed Sandeep Khusoo, Additional Secretary of the Trust, Srinagar, to ensure proper illumination of the temple and displaying of the Trust's banners at conspicuous locations.
The Trust President asserted that security being the major concern for the people visiting Valley has been given top priority and the concerned helmsmen of security forces have been taken into confidence to make sure that foolproof security is provided to the devotees.
Various departments like PDD, PHE, JKP, roadways, etc have been approached well in advance to make sure that Mahashivratri festivities remain gleaming with all the facilities being made available to devotees in an immaculate manner, he maintained. "Besides, Dharmarth Trust will also provide Prashad to devotees visiting the temple site on the Mahashivratri, keeping in view the SOPs of Covid-19," he added.
