DPS Jammu excels in state level VVM exam

JAMMU, Mar 2: Adding one more jewel in the bounty of achievements, the students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu excelled in the VVM State Level Examination 2020-2021, conducted online by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India on February 21.
The students of classes VI to XI participated in this exam which evaluated them in the conceptual knowledge of Maths, Science and Logic and Reasoning. A total of 102 students from J&K appeared in this prestigious exam out of which only 18 qualified. It is further noteworthy that out of 18 students qualified for the National Level Exam, 7 students are from DPS Jammu who have clinched top positions in this prestigious exam. Students who stole the limelight by scoring top ranks at the state level are: Arya Bhalla (VI- A), Ridhima Jamwal (VI- L), Jagrit Rajpal (VII-G), Parikansh Rakwal (VIII_B), Devansh Malhotra (IX_D), Samridhi Singh (IX- H), and Tejas Singh (X-H). All winners were awarded Certificates of Merit and cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively. They will also attend a National Level Exam to be held later this year. It is pertinent to note that VVM Exam is a national level programme meant for educating and popularizing Science among school students.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the winners, participants and their parents for the meritorious achievement. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also applauded them.
President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, SS Sodhi extended their best wishes to the winners and their parents for their future endeavours.
