JMC to hold series of events under Swacch Survekshan-2021: Dy Mayor

JAMMU, Mar 2: Apprising about the various programmes initiated by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) under Swacch Survekshan-2021 and ongoing awareness campaign/IEC under Swacch Bharat Mission in Jammu city, the Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma said that series of events will be part of the programme.
Addressing a press conference here today, Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma informed that cleanliness drives, nukkad nataks, workshops, events with educational institutes, ward of the week award to those where maximum participation is going to take place, be a Swacchta Hero campaign and many other activities will be carried out during the campaign.
On the occasion, a designer T-Shirt conveying the message of "Be A Swacchta Hero Campaign" was also displayed to spread the awareness of cleanliness.
Dy Mayor requested the citizens of Jammu city to help the Jammu Municipal Corporation to achieve the goal of zero waste set up by the organization and make the city of temples the cleanest city in India. She also urges citizens of Jammu city to participate in the Swacch Survekshan-2021 and vote for the Jammu city to improve its ranking.
The others who were present in the press conference were Chairman Swacch Bharat Yashpaul Sharma, Chairman Health and Sanitation Narendar Singh, Chairman Social Justice Kuldeep Singh Chib, Joint Commissioner (A) Sudhir Bali, Secretary JMC Tinna Mahajan, Health Officer Dr Sanjogita Sudan, Rajat Gupta-Project Manager (IEC), Dheeraj Singh Manhas (Project Manager-2-IEC), Ankush (ZAM-IEC), Vikrant Sharma-J&K Head (Big 92.7 FM), Siddharth Mahajan, Station Head and RJ Juhie, who conducted the press briefing.
