Govt should constitute Board for temples under Dharmarth Trust: DTEA

JAMMU, Mar 2: Dharmarth Trust employees, who are on protest for the last 92 days and chain hunger strike for the last 65 days, said that their agitation shall be continue till the demand of constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board be fulfilled.
Employees including Pujaris from various units of the trust such as Shri Raghunath Mandir, Hari Bhawan Purmandal, Uttar Behani ,Birpur central office Karan Bhawan participated in the protest. Working President of the Association, Rajinder Shastri alleged that trust management always issued baseless statements and showed that there is no money to hike pay of its employees. He said that the trust management lease out Ranbir Yatri Bhawan comprising 36 rooms, big canteen to private party on monthly rent of Rs 1,24,000 per month in 1999 and the rent has not received in account books of trust and amount of rupees about one crore outstanding right off to party in the year 2006 and said monthly rent reduced from 1,24,000 to 55,000 per month. Similarly, he alleged, Karan Market shopping complex constructed in the year 1996 in which it has agreed upon by the chairman trustees Dr. Karan Singh through public statement that after completion of this project the trust shall be received Rs 1.15 crore but nothing single penny deposited in trust which is big blunder and enquiry in this regard should be conducted by CBI so that truth comes out.
The persons who sat on hunger strike today include Pt. Bodh Raj, Sat pal, Parkash, Pt. Balwant Shastri, Pt. Naresh Kumar, Rajinder Sharma, Rajat Dadwal, Raghubir Singh, Shiva and Sandeep Raj Bakshi.
