EARly Times report

Jammu, Mar 3: On occasion of 503rd Nirvana Divas of Sant Satguru Kabir Sahib, a press conference was held at Sahib Bandgi Ashram Ranjri, in which Swami Madhu Paramhans ji apprised reporters about the biography of Satguru Kabir Sahib ji.
Sahib ji said that he prefers to call this day as Kabir Antardhyaan Divas rather than Kabir Nirvana Divas beacuse he was not bound to any power of this mortal world, so there is no question of Nirvana. While highlighting the biography of Kabir Sahib, Sahib Ji said that Satguru Kabir Sahib has been conferred with the title of Sant Samrat and Sant Shiromani ( emperor of saints) because he was the guiding spirit of Santmat. Satguru Kabir Sahib detested the frivolities and rituals, superstitions, hypocrisy and stereotypes spread in the field of devotion. Before Kabir Sahib only two types of devotions were prevalent - Saguna and Nirguna Bhakti. Kabir Sahib revealed to mankind the secret of Sadhguru Bhakti which was beyond these two types of Bhakti. He said that only by Sadhguru Bhakti can one attain complete salvation.
When he left this world, no bones or flesh were left behind and only flowers were found, which the Muslims picked up and made a mazaar and the Hindus made a Samadhi. His mazaar and samadhi stand side by side even today at Maghar as he was loved equally by both Hindus and Muslim. He was a great saint, a great poet, a mystic, a great thinker, a social reformer. His teachings were not limited to particular caste or community only but he was a messiah for whole humanity. He was loved and devoted equally by Hindus and Muslims which shows that his teachings were beyond the boundaries of religion.
