Warwan youths calls on Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar

JAMMU, Mar 3: A Public deputation from Warwan under the banner of Youth Wing of Warwan called upon Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar demanding upgradation of basic infrastructure in remote Warwan area of Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, the deputation led by political and social activist from Warwan Muzzafar Ahmed Lone put forth various demands before DC Kishtwar which include all weather road connectivity to Warwan, electrification of Warwan block, telecommunication facilities with internet, tourism avenues for Warwan which has no match in terms of beautiful landscapes, macadamisation of roads, construction bridges, sanctioned of Solar units under Deen Dhayql Upadya Yogna and upgradation of healthcare and education facilities in the area.
The people also demanded filling of all vacant posts in education department along with other departments wherever the posts are vacant.
Speaking to Early Times, Muzzafar Ahmed Lone said that the Warwan valley faces neglect from successive government added that their is immediate need to expedite the process of various developmental projects in the area. He said that their is immediate need for all weather connectivity to Warwan by connecting Insan of Warwan with Matigowran of Anantnag District via Matigowran-Inshan Tunnel and said that with the construction of the tunnel, people will get easy access to Anantnag District due winters when mountains are closed due to heavy snowfall that ultimately trapped the people of the area for 4/5 months.
He said that DC Kishtwar gives patience hearing to the issues raised by them and assured them that all the issues raised by them will be looked into on top priority.
He said that they also submitted the memorandum to DC Kishtwar highlighting some burning issues of the area.
Meanwhile Assistant Director Planning in the office of Chief Planning Officer Kishtwar on the direction of DC Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma issued written directions to all the District and sectoral officers to look into the issues raised by the Youths of Warwan and take necessary action pertaining to the points in respect of your department under intimation to this office treating the matter as most urgent.
