RAJOURI, Mar 3: Going tough against the unauthorised occupation of the Government buildings, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan in yet another move has got 3 Government buildings of the Rural Development Department and ICDS vacated.
Pertinently, the District Development Commission has issued standing instructions to the Block Development Officers to report about the public Buildings under illegal possessions.
It has brought to the notice of the District Development Commissioner about three buildings being under illegal possessions for years. The buildings which are under illegal possession include two buildings of the Rural Development Department (Panchayat Ghar and Community Hall) and one Anganwadi centre of ICDS Project Thanamandi.
Taking cognizance of the issue, the Deputy Commissioner immediately passed on instructions to concerned Executive Magistrates and Block Development Officers to immediately take over the possession of the Government Buildings and hand over the possessions to the concerned Departments.
It is worth mentioning here that as many as 25 Government buildings including panchayat Ghar, Anganwari centres, schools, PHCs have been vacated within 40 days under the drive of district administration Rajouri headed by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shavan.
Besides, several roadblocks have been removed for the major Developmental Projects and the work on them going smoothly. |
