JAMMU, Mar 4: A surprise market check was today conducted by Department of FCS&CA, in Bathindi and Sunjwan areas of Jammu city. The team of Inspectors under supervision of Assistant Director Enforcement Jammu, Shohab Latief, checked more than 50 establishments. Shopkeepers, including sellers of milk products, poultry and meat sellers, vegetable vendors were sensitized about various rules and regulations. They were instructed to display the rate list and sell the commodities on the rates fixed by the Department/Associations. Owners of food joints and restaurants were instructed to use only commercial LPG cylinders. People belonging to the area were also advised to approach the Department in case of any complaint. It is pertinent to mention here that few days ago a similar drive was conducted in Talib Tillo area. Assistant Director Enforcement FCS&CA Jammu Shohab Latief said that Enforcement Wing of Department shall conduct such market checks on routine basis. It shall be ensured that consumers’ interests are protected. The drive is being conducted under overall supervision of Secretary Department of FCS&CA Simrandeep Singh and Director FCS&CA Jammu Jatinder Singh. |
