RAMBAN, Mar 4: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam visited Government Higher Secondary School, Batote to review the functioning of school.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban, Haseeb-Ur Rehman, ACR Dhirender Sharma and other senior officers besides school staff present on the occasion.
The DC also inaugurated a Table Tennis Sports Hall within the school campus besides taking stock of preparedness being made by school administrations to implement COVID-19 SOPs at there .
While interacting with the students, the DC urged them to follow all COVID -19 preventive measures as issued by the government.
The DC also advised students to plan their careers and focus on their overall personality development.
He assured the students that administration will provide necessary books pertaining to different competitive examinations like NEET, JEE, Banking etc in the district.
He advised them to not to think of only common career options only but other options as well like entrepreneurship which is a noble profession to serve society and nation. The DC directed the heads of institutions to provide free access to students in school IT labs to enable them access to IT-enabled services besides organizing personality development Classes for their overall development.
Meanwhile, Principal Swarn Singh apprised the DC about staff strength, class enrollment and infrastructural status of schools.
The DC said that there will be regular intra-district exchange of students by which the students of remote and backward areas of the district will learn newer ideas from the students of cities and towns like this which will give them a good exposure. While appreciating the school administration for m aintaining the standard of the school in all respects and good academic achievement of students in the recently declared result of 10th and 12th classes.
The DC said that the school heads of other schools of the district will be soon asked to visit some good schools like this in the district to have new ideas to raise their standard in maintenance and academics .
He assured of his full support in development and encouragement of the school and its students.
