Chairperson BDC Thuroo discusses modalities for implementation of GPDP

DHARMARI, Mar 4: Chairperson of Block Development Council Thuroo, Makhana Chowhan, today convened a meeting of officers at Dharmari to discuss modalities for smooth implementation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) in the panchayats.
In the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on all welfare schemes and programmes of Government like MDM, ICDS, Jal Jeevan Mission, PMDP, old age and widow pensions, ATMA, PMKSY, scholarships, agriculture and horticulture related schemes, PMGSY, MGNREGA, Ayushman Bharat and annual plans of various departments.
The chairperson asked all the officers to ensure maximum participation of officials in panchayat level meetings to make Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) more powerful. He further asked the departments to initiate awareness camps and activities to make people fully aware about all government progammes launched from time to time.
The chairperson impressed upon officers to finalize all work plans through a Gram Sabha so that maximum public participation is ensured. All the departments were asked to depute their representative at Gram Sabha to prepare GPDP at Panchayat level.
Further instructions were passed by the chairperson for time bound completion of all water supply schemes, repair works, completion of road projects, supply of ration, hundred percent coverage under health insurance scheme, Aadhaar enrolments and Job card registration.
He also asked the officers to follow all guidelines and norms while framing plans and lay maximum focus on welfare of scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other marginalized sections of the society. He asked the officers to work in tandem and with utmost zeal to facilitate poor people.
Among other the meeting was attended by BDO, SDAO, HDO, AEEs, AEs, JEs, supervisors and representatives of various departments.
