3/4/2021 11:30:00 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

UDHMAPUR, Mar 4: Congress activists today intensified protest against rising petrol, diesel and LPG prices.
The protest was organized by Krishan Chand Bhaghat, Ex-MLA Chenani and DCC President Udhampur on the directions of J&KPCC Chief which was led by Uday Bhanu Chib.
The protesting Congress activists raised slogans such as "Abki Baar Petrol 100 Ke Paar" and "Modi Hai To Mehngayi Hai", obliquely targeting BJP's poll slogans. They demanded that the BJP government should provide immediate relief to people from the rising prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas.
Talking to reporters here, Uday said that the BJP leaders who used to protest over prices of petrol and diesel have kept mum now. The prices of petrol have touched Rs 100 per litre in many parts of the country and the Modi government is doing nothing to provide relief to the people, he added.
Chib said that the people of the country had "chosen PM Narendra Modi on the promise of good day, now he has broken the trust of the people". He demanded that the Petroleum Minister should step down if he cannot keep the prices of petrol and diesel in check.
Krishan Chand Bhaghat said that on one side there is an all-round inflation and on the other there is a spate of diesel-petrol-gas prices. Petrol has crossed Rs 100 and diesel has crossed Rs 90 in many parts of the country," the he said.
Bhagat said that the Congress leadership has initiated a protest against the anti-people attitude of the Modi government across the country and raising the voice of the common man.
Among those who joined the protest included Rajesh Sadotra, President J&K Sewa Dal; Sunil Kerni,
