Rs 3.5 Cr loan sanction orders distributed among 45 beneficiaries

DODA, Mar 4: Around 45 loan sanction letters amounting to Rs 3.5 cr under various self-employment schemes of Industries and Commerce Department and Khadhi Village Industry Board were today distributed among the young beneficiaries here at one day mega Job Fair (Rozgar Mela) hosted by the District Administration Doda in collaboration with Skill Development Department J&K (District Skill Committee Doda) and District Employment & Counselling Centre.
The Job Fair was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, who was the Chief Guest. Chairman District Development Council Doda Dhananter Singh was the Guest of Honour.
During the event, several departments displayed job oriented programmes and schemes in varied sectors. The DDC alongwith the Chairman inspected all the stalls and enquired about the schemes run by the departments.
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC urged the youth to hone their skills to avail the huge employment avenues in the private sector and self employment schemes.
“Private sector has huge potential to address the unemployment issue of the young generation in comparison to the Government sector which has very limited scope”, he added. The DDC stressed on the youth to amend their approach and strive to become job givers rather than job seekers. He informed the participants that various self employment schemes of Centre as well as UT Government is being implemented in the district and asked them to take the benefit by establishing their own business units/enterprises.
It was informed by the concerned that around 280 vacancies of various nature shall be filled in NHIDCL, LIC, HDFC Bank, Royal Enfield, local industries and private Schools of Doda District. These companies/firms have taken applications from eligible candidates and shall call them for interview.
Besides, around 2000 unemployed youth were registered with various firms who shall be provided job as per their qualifications and requirements of the said enterprise.
